99 Years of Service to Our Community!
President's Message
Greetings Fellow Rotarians,

I want to take this opportunity to recognize and thank the many members of our club that have
supported me during the first half of my Presidency. Over the past 5 months I have learned a great deal about our club and Rotary in general. As a member I knew we accomplished a lot of work within the community, but as President, I’ve had a front row seat to witness the commitment, passion and dedication exhibited by each member of the club. I’m extremely grateful to be a member of this club and look forward to the second half of my term.

One of the best responsibilities of being your President has been inducting new members into the club. It feels like our membership is growing almost weekly and I’m excited about the energy these new members will add to our mission. I’ve already witnessed new members jumping in the work on breathing new life into our youth exchange program, assisting with our strategic planning, pancake breakfast and other areas of the club.

In closing, I want to extend best wishes to each member of the club as we approach the holiday season. I hope each of you enjoy the remainder of 2024 and I look forward to heading into 2025 with you all.

Best regards,
Jason Trundy
Belfast Rotary Club President
2024-2025

Belfast Rotary Makes a difference:
Clothing Closets
The Harbor Fest's Evening by the Bay, presented by Rotarians, raised $17,000 for the local public school clothing closets in August 2023.  Recently, Lindsay Hawthorne, Social Worker at Drinkwater Elementary School, sent this wonderful thank you:

"It has been amazing. We’ve always had a small stash of (used) clothing but I never realized how many kids needed clothes and we didn’t have the right sizes or the right type needed.  This has been a huge help to a wide range of kids from ones who need a quick change from accidents (mud or otherwise) to kids who are in need of both size and weather appropriate clothing. Thank you, thank you rotary!!! ❤️ "
Polio Walk 2024
Club Members met up on October 19th for a Polio Walk in downtown Belfast to raise money for the Polio Plus Fund.  We raised $2100. Afterwards, everyone enjoyed lunch together at Rollie's.

Rotary has been working to eradicate polio for more than 35 years. Our goal of ridding the world of this disease is closer than ever.

RYLA Participant Speaks to Club
Kaleb Brown spoke to our club about his experience at RYLA district 7790 . He talked about the challenge of collaborating with other participants who spoke only French...and successfully completing the assigned tasks. He was grateful for the opportunity to attend RYLA.

Kaleb is an Eagle Scout and a nursing student at Husson. We foresee a great future for Kaleb
