President’s Message December 2021

Based on our Member Survey we will be holding an in-person Holiday Party at the Shrine Club on Wednesday evening, December 8 at 5:00 PM. We respectfully request that all attendees be vaccinated to attend this meeting. Also, if you've been exposed to Covid-19 or are not feeling well, please do not attend this event.
On November 3, we heard from Christina McAnuff from the Olympia Snowe Women's Leadership Institute. The institute provides a leadership program for high school age girls highlighting self-esteem and leadership skills.
On November 10, Andrea Talty, the mayor of the Belfast Athenahealth office. Andreas is a Vice President/Manager of the office. She provided us with insight into what Athenahealth does. They provide medical billing software and medical technology products. Athenahealth processes 18 million checks daily.
On November 16, we hosted a Rotary Take-over of Marshall Wharf Brewery. Nine Rotarians attended along with eight prospective members. A good time was had by all in a semi-open environment.
On November 17 we heard from our own Lee Woodward and Marjorie Crowley about the 100 Fund. Lee provided a history of the program and Marjorie outlined this year's plan including gift cards from Reny's and Colburn Shoe. Yes, schnaaps was discussed.
There was no meeting on November 24 as we gave everybody the day before Thanksgiving the day off.
