99 Years of Service to Our Community!
President's Message
Greetings Fellow Rotarians,

In my previous message I assured our members that Spring was right around the corner. Well,
I’m sure it is, once we get past a few April showers!!

We are doing well with our work at the Golf Tournament, and I want to extend a sincere thank
you to all those involved in the planning and execution of this event. The Golf Tournament is a
crucial component of our yearly fundraising efforts.

I’m going to ask each member, over the coming month, to approach at least one person about
becoming a member of our club. Our club has many amazing people as members and I’m
confident that each of you knows another great person to add to our ranks! Someone you know
is just waiting to be asked to join!

Best regards,

Jason Trundy
Belfast Rotary Club President

April Pancake Breakfast Success
Under the exceptional leadership of Mary Mortier, our spring pancake breakfast raised $4496.00!

With 35 volunteers, we served up 55 lbs of pancake mix with 27 lbs of blueberries and 750 sausage links.  Its a remarkable team that slings the spatulas and makes the coffee while serving the continuous line of guests.
Rotary Greeters Program Restarting
In May we will begin having Greeters stationed by the Shrine Club Door to welcome visitors and members as they arrive. A few members have already volunteered for this fun assignment, but we need more! We would really like to see new/recent members pair up with one of our longer-term members.

You should plan on arriving at about11:40am. Please send an email to Beth Sterner at britgirl626@gmail.com with your availability. We would love to see each person volunteer for a few weeks, and the dates do not need to be consecutive.

When Beth returns from sunny Florida in a couple weeks she will have a sign-up sheet at the meetings. In the meantime, we would love
to have May and June mostly scheduled.

Thank you for helping to make everyone feel welcome at our meetings!
Belfast Rotary Launches Legacy project LOgo and Fundraising
Our Belfast Rotary Club’s 100-year celebration includes the launch of our Legacy Project. This legacy project will be a $200,000 new, accessible playground that will be built next year in Belfast City Park.  Jason Trundy and Bob Cormier are leading the project, bringing the club together with the City of Belfast to bring a much needed new playground to City Park.

Our fundraising efforts have introduced a logo and bi-fold pamphlet.  Grant writing is underway, too.

Please consider a gift to the fundraising effort by clicking the link below.
