Shrine Club internet troubles
Katey Summers: Train for Change
August Birthdays and Anniversaries
Sgt.-At-Arms Highlights

Due to technical and technician difficulties, there was no in-person meeting at the Shrine Club this week. We plan on having internet access at the Shrine Club next week and will be holding a hybrid meeting.

This week we heard from Katey Summers of Train for Change. Katey told us of the group's efforts in Honduras in training teachers. The program was brought about by a Global Grant from the San Diego Rotary e-club.

August birthdays:
Cody Keithan - 8th
Bryant Dutch - 23rd
Elsa Mead - 24th
Doug Smith - 26th

August Anniversaries:
Mary Alice McLean - 1 year
Larry Bjorklund - 13 years
Joe Slocum - 13 years
Sharron Walsh - 17 years
Michelle Morrow - 22 years
Bryant Dutch - 59 years!!!

Bryant Dutch has the distinction of being the only Belfast Rotary member to join the club on his or her Birthday.

There will be a Zoom Board Meeting on Monday, August 10 at 5:30 PM. Contact Jill Goodwin if you would like to join the meeting.

Breakout Rooms were a success, we will continue with the tradition next week. Members at the Shrine Club are encouraged to chat amongst themselves during the Breakout session.

Sergeant-At-Arms Happy Dollar Highlights

Dorothy Havey has grapes and a dry couch (not living near a pond with a dog has its merits).

Donna Kelly's daughter, son-in-law, and granddaughter were moved from Virginia to Maine and are living in Lincolnville.

Happy Birthday to Pat Carrick.

Beth Sterner's house recently changed color from pink to yellow.

Gianne Conard is having great success in growing cantaloupe. She also spoke of a $100,000 grant to Waterfall Arts.

Art Hayes suggested that Dorothy bring her grapes to the Shrine Club next week to provide sustenance to those members who don't bring a lunch.
