First Hybrid Meeting

No Singing (well we did sing the invocation, sort of. . . ). A BYOF affair (Bring Your Own Food), [although rumor has it that Duke Marston had to buy lunch for Paul Doody in order to get Paul to attend.]

Waldo CAP Survey

Dorothy Havey would like members to participate in a WCAP Survey. Please e-mail Dorothy (dhavey@waldocap.org) or Richard Koralek (rotary6292pres@gmail.com) if you'd like to participate.

Our Town Belfast

Richard Schmesser spoke to us about Out Town Belfast and what they are doing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

E-Waste

Doug Smith spoke to us about e-waste. The e-waste event is on for October 17. We are partnering with the Waldo County Sheriff's Department. The Sheriff's Department will be in charge of paper shredding and drug take back. We will be using Electronics End LLC for e-waste (same company as last year) there will be limitations on what can be re-cycled. E-waste will be limited to TVs, All monitors, Desktop printers and copiers, Desktop computers, laptops and cell phones. They may charge us a $500 fee.

Sergeant At Arms

We had an interesting discussion about what businesses are doing well during the pandemic. Apparently, Real Estate and Building Materials are flourishing.

Shrine Club Meeting

A poll at the end of the in-person meeting found that all 15 participants liked the in-person meeting format and there were no complaints about the format. Note: we are working on some improvements to the Hybrid format and it is expected that the format will evolve as we work out the kinks.
